DIGITAL PLANETARIUM PROGRAM: ASTRONAUT APPRENTICE.
This program for digital planetariums is ideal for astronomy workshops in schools. The fulldome program can be complemented with experiments and additional live explanations by tutors or science communicators.
With Astronaut Apprentice, we will observe the daytime and nighttime sky in the northern hemisphere. During the daytime observation, we will focus on everything visible during the day, such as airplanes, hang gliders, helicopters, drones, weather balloons, comets, and, of course, birds, clouds, or the Sun itself (including a recreation of an eclipse). In the nighttime sky observation, we will identify possible objects like artificial satellites, airplanes, comets, planets, and the Moon. Lastly, we will explore the stars and constellations of the four seasons.
To conclude, we will embark on a journey to explore the planets of the Solar System. We will begin our journey on Earth and visit all the planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. We will explore the atmospheres of some planets, such as Mercury, Mars, or Saturn. We will also take an interstellar journey to observe our galaxy, the Milky Way, and finally return to our planet, Earth, with a special stop on the Moon to land there.
APPROX. DURATION: 18 MINUTES. LANGUAGES: ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, AND SPANISH. AUDIENCE: FROM 3 YEARS OLD (PRESCHOOL – PRIMARY SCHOOL).
